Magical Qinghai, Legendary Silk Road Journey
This itinerary covers Qinghai and Gansu, both of which played an important role in the history of the ancient Silk Road. Qinghai is famous for its highland lakes, grasslands and exotic ethnic cultures, while Gansu is known for its Gobi Desert, Danxia landforms, Buddhist caves and Great Wall culture.
From Xining, you will travel to the dreamlike Qinghai Lake and Chaka Salt Lake, and then to Zhangye with its unique Danxia landforms. At the end of the tour, you will arrive at the mysterious Dunhuang, enjoying the magnificent desert scenery and the unique culture of the ancient Silk Road.
