From Jiuhuang Airport, you can choose to travel by car to attractions such as Jiuzhaigou National Park and Huanglong Scenic and Historic Area, with different journey times and distances, such as to Jiuzhaigou National Park. About 1 hour and 40 minutes, 87 kilometers.

Jiuzhaigou Valley Travel Tips
1、Is it possible to have altitude sickness?
Jiuzhaigou’s altitude varies greatly. For example, the entrance to the valley is about 2,000 meters while the airport is about 3,500 meters. Susceptibility to altitude sickness varies from person to person, so it is recommended that you consult your doctor before traveling. Travelers with heart disease or high blood pressure should exercise caution and take appropriate precautions when traveling in Jiuzhaigou. Do not engage in any strenuous exercise or drink alcohol. Keep warm and eat plenty of vegetables and fruits. Please carry some common medicines with you. If you need, your guide can prepare a small oxygen cylinder for you in case of emergency.
2、When is the best time to visit Jiuzhaigou?
The best time to visit is from September to early November, when you’re most likely to see blue skies and gorgeous fall colors contrasting with the turquoise lakes. Due to the availability of summer vacations, the
Summer (June through August) is the busiest time. The optimal tourist capacity of the park is 15,000 people per day, but during the summer vacation the maximum capacity will reach 40,000 people per day. This is also when the most hours of visitation occur.
Spring (March to May) can be cold (1°C/34 °F ~ 14°C/57 °F), but with fewer visitors it is still pleasant.
Winter (late November to February) is very cold (-6°C/21 °F ~ 7°C/45 °F), but you can see spectacular ice-covered trees and frozen waterfalls. The Huanglong Scenic Area may be closed in winter. If you want to visit both Huanglong and Jiuzhaigou at the same time, try other warmer times.
3、How are the hotels in Jiuzhaigou?
The most popular hotel location is Zhangzha town, closest to the entrance of Jiuzhaigou Nature Reserve. Zhangzha offers a variety of accommodation options, from five-star hotels to budget hostels. If you wish to be close to Huanglong National Park or Jiuzhuang Airport, you can choose a hotel in Chuanzhousi County. If you are planning to visit Muni Gou, consider staying in Songpan Town.
4、Why do I need a guide at Jiuzhaigou National Park?
The park is huge! Covering just over 700 square kilometers, the routes are nearly 100 kilometers (62 miles) long.
