March
China's best attractions to visit in March
The Gangnam region is a highly recommended destination in March. Generally speaking, the rainy season in the Jiangnan region begins in April. With spring flowers blooming in March and sometimes drizzling rain, Shanghai, Yangzhou, Suzhou and Hangzhou are more beautiful and worth visiting.
Compared with central and southern China, Beijing remains cold. Winds are stronger and dusty conditions have improved due to tree planting. However, the average temperature still fluctuates around 7 degrees Celsius (45 degrees Fahrenheit) and sometimes it snows. Therefore, when traveling to Beijing in March, please prepare warm clothing.

1.Zhouzhuang--Ancient Water Town
■Average temperature: 11 degrees Celsius (52 degrees Fahrenheit)
■A Bridge in Zhouzhuang Water Town Zhouzhuang Water Town
The ancient town is one of the representative attractions in the Jiangnan region. Zhouzhuang is located in Suzhou, which is famous for its traditional Chinese gardens. It is the most scenic ancient town in China, albeit slightly crowded and commercialized compared to other ancient towns. Early in the morning and late in the evening, the scenery of Zhouzhuang Ancient Town is dreamlike and evocative of China’s ancient charm of yesteryear. Don’t miss the early morning and early evening, when the dreamlike scenery of Zhouzhuang Ancient Town seems to tell the story of ancient China.

2. Wuyuan - China's most beautiful village
■Average temperature: 10 degrees Celsius (52 degrees Fahrenheit)
■Known as “China’s most beautiful countryside”, Wuyuan boasts many ancient architectural features of the Ming and Qing dynasties, including 113 ancient ancestral halls, 28 ancient mansions, 36 ancient dwellings and 187 ancient bridges.
■You will see: March is the best month to visit Wuyuan. Every village in Wuyuan is situated on the mountains and surrounded by water, harmonizing with the natural scenery. The villages in March will be decorated with pink peach blossoms, white pear blossoms and large lemon rapeseed blossoms, which will blend with the green mountains, green water and rustic buildings to form an elegant Chinese idyllic painting.

3. Dali, Yunnan - spring flowers and serene scenery
■Temperature: 7°C-22°C (45°F-72°F)
■Dali is famous for its beautiful scenery and ethnic minority customs (especially the Bai).
■Once one of the birthplaces of Yunnan culture, Dali boasts many historical sites that will give you an insight into Yunnan’s history, such as the Ancient City of Dali, Taihe City of Nanzhao, and the Three Pagodas. The Xizhou Folk House is an excellent place to learn about the culture of the Bai people. The natural beauty of the Erhai Sea and Cangshan Mountain is also not to be missed.
■Yunnan Tourism: Yunnan Province is an excellent destination for both domestic and foreign tourists. In March, the climate in Kunming, Dali and Xishuangbanna is warmer than elsewhere. Lijiang is slightly colder in the morning and evening. The lowest temperature in Shangri-La can reach -4°C (25°F). All in all, Yunnan in March is an ideal tourist destination.

4. Guilin - a living picture of Chinese tradition
■Average temperature: 14°C (57°F)
■Yes, Guilin is always drizzly in March with high humidity, not very suitable for traveling. However, the drizzly, mist-covered Li River is one of the highlights of Guilin, which cannot be seen in other months.
■The drizzle can sometimes make sightseeing difficult and dull. You’ll be fine as long as you’re prepared: don’t forget your umbrella.
■In March, from the outskirts of Guilin to Yangshuo County, you can enjoy the dreamlike scenery of the Li River, take a bamboo raft on the Yu Long River, or bike along the country roads for an idyllic ride (between the mountains and the water, large lemon rapeseed blossoms are in full bloom).
