2. Inner Mongolia - Vast Grasslands
■Inner Mongolia is blessed with vast grasslands where you can go horseback riding or hiking when the weather is pleasant. The grass grows highest during the short hot summer months. The grasslands are as far as the eye can see. It is home to one of the most beautiful and exotic natural landscapes in China. It was once the territory of the Mongol Empire and yurts can still be seen in some places today.
■July through September is the best time to visit Inner Mongolia, when temperatures are pleasant and the grasslands are lush. The annual Naadam Grassland Festival is also held during this time, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy Mongolian sports competitions and traditional celebrations, as well as Mongolian folk songs and dances.

3. Zhangjiajie - the inspiration for Avatar's Hallelujah Mountain
■With its beautiful mountains and pleasant scenery, Zhangjiajie is a natural summer resort with China’s first national forest park, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. The majestic mountains, clear streams and fresh air make Zhangjiajie a natural air conditioner and natural oxygen bar.
■Take the world’s longest cable car to Tianmen Mountain, the highest peak in Zhangjiajie. Bike around the scenic and less traveled side of Tianmen Mountain.
■Take the cable car to the top of the mountain and the summer heat dissipates. The peaks are stunningly scenic, especially in rainy and misty weather. Stroll along the cliffs and admire the 99 bends and the majestic Tianmen Cave.
4. Yunnan - a colorful wonderland
■Yunnan Province is gradually becoming one of the summer vacation spots due to its special geographical location, lush vegetation and relatively mild climate. The best cities to visit in Yunnan are Kunming, Dali, Lijiang and Shangri-La.
■Stroll through the relaxing old towns of Dali, Lijiang and Shangri-La. Ride on the stunning Erhai Sea in Dali. Listen to the roar of Tiger Leaping Gorge between Lijiang and Shangri-La. Travel to Lugu Lake to escape the heat and soak up the stunning scenery.

5. Silk Road - Exploring Chinese History and Culture
■The Silk Road was an important international trade route in ancient times, stretching for miles and miles through some of the most scenic and culturally rich places.
■Gannan has a beautiful landscape, cool climate, Tibetan culture, magnificent mountains, valleys, canyons, wetlands and meadows. Zhongwei offers exciting and fun desert activities such as sledding, camel riding, beach biking and camping. Xi’an, Dunhuang, Zhangye and Xinjiang are all fascinating for their unique Silk Road culture.
6. Guizhou Province - Exploring China's Minority Cultures
■Guizhou Province has a mild and not too hot climate, making it an ideal summer vacation destination.
■You will find unheard of places and diverse minority cultures. Why not visit Fanjing Mountain, which was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2018. It’s not a popular tourist destination right now, so you can enjoy a peaceful trip there. You won’t be disappointed with the cool weather and cloudy mushroom rocks.
■Guizhou is the second largest province in terms of the number of ethnic minorities after Yunnan Province. The Tujia, Miao and many other minorities make Guizhou an important center of ethnic culture. You can learn vanishing traditional crafts such as paper making with plant fibers, batik and silver jewelry making.

7. Tibet - Exploring the pristine landscapes and Tibetan culture
■Summer temperatures in Tibet range from about 12-24 degrees Celsius (54-75 degrees Fahrenheit). The oxygen content of the air is higher in summer than in other seasons, so the risk of altitude sickness is lower.
■Summer is the time to travel to various destinations in remote areas and enjoy high altitude attractions such as the Gonpozi Peak trek when the passes are free of snow.
■July is one of the busiest tourist months of the year in Tibet. It is recommended that you book your trip with us at least two months in advance and we will confirm all bookings for you.
8. Qinghai Lake - nature and Tibetan culture
