Guizhou Province has long been backward in economic development, but its unique natural landscape has preserved a great deal of original ecology and traditional culture.
— “Guizhou is a beautiful woman who lives in seclusion in the deep mountains and old forests.”
Let’s visit her this spring! Stroll through a breathtaking sea of azaleas, admire world-famous waterfalls, experience the fun of camping in caves, learn about the traditional crafts of local ethnic minorities, and explore China’s great engineering projects hidden amidst the mountains and how they have changed Guizhou’s destiny.
Diving into the Azalea Sea (April Excursion)

Embrace the lovely colors of spring - greens and pinks (tour in mid-March)

It’s pleasant to feel as if you’re sandwiched tightly between two flavors of cake – cherry blossom and matcha – when you’re surrounded by pale pink on your right hand side and emerald green greenery on the other!
Experience the majesty and softness of Guizhou's magnificent waterfalls
Enjoy the magnificent view of Huangguoshu Waterfall. It has a powerful “melody” of water intertwined with land. The splash of water on the face, like a soft silk veil.
Experience camping in limestone caves
Stay in an arched masterpiece of karst landscape, enjoying food cooked by the local Buyei people (one of China’s officially recognized ethnic minorities) and listening to their stories.
Marvel at the world's largest radio telescope set in the mountains
You may not get a sense of how advanced your state is in some places until you visit FAST (Five Hundred Meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope). It may one day help us make contact with extraterrestrial civilizations!
Guzhou Travel Tips
1. Transportation
As China’s new big data valley, Guizhou’s high-speed rail network now connects the country in many directions.
Although Guizhou province is mountainous, the roads leading to the villages are smooth. Therefore, self-driving is the ideal transportation for village-to-village access. In order to provide you with a comfortable traveling experience, we offer a special car service.
2. Hotels and Restaurants
HOTELS: Hotels in your state do not have the same level of amenities and service as hotels in larger cities. Some of the better hotels are equipped with air-conditioning. Hotels in some towns may only offer Chinese breakfast. During tours, there are usually only basic Chinese bathrooms.
Restaurants: Local restaurants serve Chinese food in a simple setting.
3.What to pack
Temperatures can vary greatly between day and night, so warm clothes are required even in summer.
Bring shoes suitable for walking. Mosquito-repellent is also necessary when touring village areas in summer.
